The Master of Athletic Training at the University of Utah provides graduate-level didactic knowledge and clinical skills in preparation for a future career in athletic training.

Our Mission

The mission of the Master of Athletic Training program at the University of Utah is to develop confident and competent board-certified athletic training professionals. Our graduates will be highly qualified to practice in a wide variety of setting and become effective members of the healthcare team using a student-focused healthcare curriculum, distinct interprofessional education, community engagement, and stimulating clinical experiences. 

Reasons for Attending the University of Utah

ADVANCED CURRICULUM using resources at University of Utah Health's academic medical center.

INTERPROFESSIONAL EDUCATION with programs across all of University of Utah Health (Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, PA, PT, OT, Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology).

CLINICAL ASSIGNMENTS from Big 12 Division I sports, high schools, healthcare clinics, professional sports, and many others.

INTERACTIONS WITH UNIVERSITY OF UTAH HEALTH, a medical partner with professional organizations, universities, colleges, high schools, and many others.

CLINICAL IMMERSION consisting of approximately 25 weeks of full-time clinical immersion experiences.

SUCCESSFUL FACULTY recognized nationally for their clinical, research, and professional backgrounds.
